For almost two years I’ve been working with a group to establish a network in Ayrshire with the aim of improving support provided to people living at home with neurological conditions. Funded by the Scottish Government, this work has been widely publicised as an innovative example of co-production. This report (posted on my LinkedIn profile) was produced a year ago of the work up to that point.
But the work has continued… our next phase is to gather first hand stories and to continue conversations about deep listening and meaningful support that balances health and social needs.
On a personal level this has been truly affirming work. We are a team of four from diverse backgrounds, including health, social care, academia and education, working in partnership with a wider network of practitioners and people with lived experience of neurological conditions. We all bring different but complementary skills and experience to the work.
