Welcome to Envision

Envision provides training, facilitation, graphic facilitation and consultancy services to a broad spectrum of voluntary and public sector organisations throughout Scotland.  Envision's work is firmly rooted in person centred values with an emphasis on personal growth, inclusion and community development.

Envision was established in January 2004 by Helen Wilson.  Helen previously worked for ten years in the voluntary sector in Edinburgh as a trainer, facilitator and consultant, mainly within the social care environment.  She was a consultant with Scottish Human Services (SHS) and then took up a post as Community Connector with Edinburgh Development Group (EDG).  At EDG, Helen mostly worked with adults with learning difficulties, supporting individuals and families to plan for positive, inclusive futures using person centred planning approaches, and supporting staff in other organisations to develop community building strategies.   Helen also has experience of working in services for older people and people with other disability labels and has worked extensively as a facilitator with community groups and organisations.

For information about Envision's recent courses and projects, please see our What's New section.

Envision is based in Biggar, South Lanarkshire, and Helen undertakes work throughout Scotland and the north of England. Helen has an MA (Hons) degree in arts and languages and qualifications in Counselling Skills (COSCA) and Mediation (Bolton Mediation Service). In 2007, she completed a Diploma in Organisational Facilitation and Consultancy with the Craighead Institute.

"Helen has been working with us on our person centred practice. She has co-delivered a comprehensive course on person centred planning and has developed, delivered and evaluated a course to ensure our support planning was consistent with person centred working.

"As always Helen did a huge amount of work before starting the training to ensure that she got it right for us. The training was fantastic, inspirational was the word used most often! The outcomes for the people we support, staff and St Joseph’s have been terrific."
