welcome to envision

Envision provides training, facilitation, graphic facilitation and consultancy services to a broad spectrum of voluntary and public sector organisations throughout Scotland.  Envision's work is firmly rooted in person centred values with an emphasis on personal growth, inclusion and community development.

Envision was established in January 2004 by Helen Wilson, who had spent the previous ten years working in the voluntary sector in Edinburgh as a trainer, facilitator and consultant, specialising within social care settings.  For five years, Helen worked with adults with learning difficulties, where her focus was on supporting individuals and families to plan for positive, inclusive futures using person centred planning approaches. She also has experience of working in services for older people, disabled people and people with mental health issues, as well as with community groups and other groups and organisations.

Envision is based in Biggar, South Lanarkshire, and Helen undertakes work throughout Scotland and the north of England. Helen has an MA (Hons) degree in arts and languages and qualifications in Counselling Skills (COSCA) and Mediation (Bolton Mediation Service). In 2007, she completed a Diploma in Organisational Facilitation and Consultancy with the Craighead Institute.

"We have worked with Helen and Envision for the past two years on a whole range of training and development issues across East Lothian, Midlothian and the Scottish Borders. "It's not just the training and facilitation that makes this relationship work for us ... its the time that Helen puts into making sure we get the input we need ... for example getting to know the organisation and how it works and matching her input to that knowledge. The feedback from staff has been glowing and not just about the training but also about how committed Helen is to her subject. We are certain that Helen puts a lot more time into getting it right for us than we ever see on her invoices!"
